Zone 6 Gets New AIG , Resumes Duty In Calabar
A new Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Mustapha Mohammed Bala has succeeded AIG Jonathan Towuru
Towuru who has been elevated as Deputy Insoector General of Police in charge of South South, spent two years as AIG in Zone six.
Bala who is immediate past Commissioner of Police in Rivers State resumed work in his office at the zone six command Calabar.
He has held several command and staff appointments and attended numerous professional courses to his credit.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the Bayero University, Kano and a Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (MLC) from the famous Ahmadu Bello University.
Bala who hails from Sandamu in Sandamu Local Government Area of Katsina State was enlisted into the force in 1992 as cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
He is the number 32 AIG in the Zone.
In a statement issued by the acting zone six PRO, ASP Edim Obazi Eyam, Bala enjoined the peace loving people of the Zone comprising Akwa Ibom and Cross River States to remain law abiding as he is resolved to provide watertight security in the commands under his watch.
