Towards Effective Policing: IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Recognizes SP Tochukwu Ikenga And Others
The Nigeria Police Force in keeping no stone in turn has successfully organized the 2024 Conference of Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Communications which was held between 18th – 21st , November 2024 in Asaba the Delta State Capital.
The Conference purpose is gear to equip the PPROs with improved human relations and public trust, effective communication and accountability. The facilitators drawn from Public Relations sectors, NGOs, Resource Persons, International Organizations and relevant fields; anchored on the theme, ” Strengthening the Nigeria Police Force and Accountability” and gave very good account of themselves in the Conference treats.
The Delta State Police Commissioner , CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, psc, represented the IGP, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun in the Conference and the Force Police Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi presented awards and commendations to several Police PROs in the Conference.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga was recognized for his exemplary performance award by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun as a reward for his hard work and diligence.
Also, the PPROs of Delta State, SP Ben Bright, FCT, Bauchi, Kano, and Abia States, as well as ASP Julius Robinson, a commander of a Tactical Team within the Delta State Command was recognized in the Conference.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun renew the call for support on the Police innovation ongoing in the country.
IGP Kayode Egbetokun, while noting that the Conference is a milestone achievement towards a more effective policing strategy, thanked the Executive Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and good people of Delta State for hosting the event.
