Police Exhume Decomposed Body Of Undergraduate Student Killed For Ritual Purpose

The Ogun State Police Command has unraveled the sudden disappearance of an undergraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, named Quadri Salami .

The eighteen years undergraduate student was not seen for awhile this prompted the father to report at Kemta Police Station on the 14th November, 2023 and instituted a case of missing person.

The Police Spokeperson , SP Omolola Odutola while briefing Journalists in Eleweran said a technological advance team of the police beam searchlight on the missing student and it tracking device clue to one Akeem Usman.

The proactive state Police Commissioner, CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha Psc personally led the Tactical Squad to Mile 6 in Ajebo area of Abeokuta to a shallow grave to exhume the already dismembered decomposing body parts of the deceased whose identity was said to be of Quadri Salami.

Speaking further, SP Odutola said “AKEEM Usman “m” who was arrested in possession with the victims phone. He implicated one Ifadowo Niyi “m” that both of them committed the heinous crime by slaughtering the victim one Quadri and dismembered his vital parts for ritual purposes”.

The suspect Ifadowo Niyi confessed to the Police that he went away with the deceased head and wrists, which was used for money ritual in local parlance called Osole, while he subsequently credited Akeem Usman account details with the sum of one hundred thousand naira (#100,000.00) as proceed from the crime.

“The suspects thereafter continued to sell the victim’s other body parts on demand to Internet fraudsters and buried the heart, two legs, and flesh inside a plastic rubber for rituals and used the remaining parts for “Awure” . The suspects confessed to the Police during interrogation.

The State Commissioner of Police CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha, has refered the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID ) for discreet investigation upon conclusion the suspects will have a date in court.

According to the report, the CP warned further that parents should realigned stringent community policing strategy to ensure proper relationship with the police for this remain the panacea to checkmate social deliquiency.

Highlighting further he said, “I remain committed to ensuring that justice is served and will continue to investigate further to bring all perpetrators to face the full extant of the Law”. SP Odutola has said in the statement released privy to Aiyekooto Reporters.
