PDP chairman kidnapped, demand N200m ransom

The men that kidnapped the Lagos State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Philip Aivoji, have demanded
N200m ransom for his release.

It should be recalled that the gunmen had abducted Aivoji, and some other party chieftains on Thursday around the Ogere-Remo end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Aivoji was kidnapped alongside other party members while returning from the party’s stakeholders’ zonal caucus meeting held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

A party source said the abductors had reached out and “are demanding N200 million for the release of our party leaders.”
