BREAKING: VeryDarkMan Receives Police Invitation, Refuses to Report to Lagos

Social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has received an official invitation from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) in Lagos, directing him to report on Monday, 10th August 2026.

VDM has, however, refused to honour the invitation, stating: “I am not coming to Lagos. If you want me, come and carry my dead body.”

According to him, Lagos is under the control of AIG Jimoh Moshood, an officer he has repeatedly accused of corruption. VDM alleges that the AIG compromised investigations into two murder cases and framed Ahmed Tajudeen:

  1. The 2023 killing of Sheriff Salami 2. The 2024 killing of Prince Ademola Akinloye
VDM further alleges that suspects in the cases were tortured, with one suspect identified as David dying in custody. He also claims there are missing first statements and that a man known simply as “Bode” was never produced by investigators. He further alleges that Prince Ademola’s brother, Babajide Akinloye, obstructed the investigation by taking possession of his brother’s phone.

VDM maintains that he is the complainant in the matter, not a suspect, and will not submit himself for intimidation in Lagos. He is demanding that the case be handled from Abuja by the Inspector General’s Monitoring Unit or by Deputy Inspectors General of Police.

He stated that he is escalating the matter to the Senate, the National Assembly, the ICPC, and other relevant authorities, and is demanding accountability from AIG Jimoh Moshood as a public servant.
