SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: CP ORUTUGU WARNS SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER “VERYDARKMAN” AGAINST CAUSING BREACH OF THE PEACE

CP Ikioye Orutugu, the Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, has issued a stern warning to Martins Vincent Otse a.k.a )VeryDarkMan, a popular social media influencer, to avoid making statements or taking actions that could incite tension or breach public peace in the state. A statement issued by the Spokesperson for the Police in the state, SP Tochukwu Ikenga has said in Akwa the state capital.

This warning comes after the family of the late Mr. Ifesinachi Onyekere, Managing Director of Fish Magnet outlet, publicly dissociated themselves from any proposed candlelight procession or memorial gathering in his name, requesting to be allowed to grieve privately.

CP Orutugu emphasized that Anambra State remains one of the most peaceful in the region, thanks to the sustained efforts of the police and other security agencies. He stressed that no individual, regardless of social status, will be allowed to disrupt the state’s peace and security architecture. SP Tochukwu Ikenga said in the police reports.

Residents and visitors are urged to go about their lawful duties without fear, as the command is committed to maintaining law and order.

The CP also advised social media users and public figures to exercise restraint and avoid spreading misinformation or making inciting remarks. Anyone found undermining public peace, either online or offline, will face the full weight of the law. The Anambra State Police Command has warned in the reports.
