The Rivers State Police Command has taken a significant step in recognizing and rewarding the exceptional performance of Police Officers that distinguished themselves in the line of duties. The Spokesperson for the State, SP. Grace Iringe-Koko has said .
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, a commendation ceremony was held at the Police Officers’ Mess in Port Harcourt on Thursday, November 28, 2024, where the Commissioner of Police, CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala, psc, presented awards to the officers who demonstrated outstanding dedication and professionalism in the line of duty.
The Commander C4i Strike Force, CSP Julian Wealth Igbudu and Inspector Blessing Ozii attached to Abali Police Division were commended for their exceptional disposition in the line of duty by the State Police Commissioner, CP MM Bala.
It’s commendable for police officers who risks the hazard of the job , who display high level of professionalism in discharge of their duties to be remarkably recognized and accorded incentive initiatives.
The River State Police Command step towards the aforementioned is therefore highly essential in encouraging men of the Nigeria Police Force in enhancing the security architecture of the state in terms of performance and service delivery to the good people of River State.
Giving verbatim details of the exceptional Police Officers, SP Grace Iringe-Koko said, “CSP Julian Igbudu was honored for his remarkable leadership in the arrest of a suspected kidnapper, which also resulted in the recovery of two serviceable pistols and thirty rounds of ammunition. His swift and effective action demonstrated tactical excellence and contributed significantly to maintaining peace and order in the State”.
The Police Inspector, “Blessing Ozii was recognized for her exceptional intelligence and diligence, which led to the apprehension of a notorious kidnap kingpin, Idris Abdullahi. Her efforts not only dismantled a dangerous criminal operation but also resulted in the recovery of ₦2.5 million. For her outstanding performance, she received the Commissioner’s Commendation Award and a monetary reward as a token of appreciation”. She said.
“In his remarks, CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala reiterated the importance of recognizing the contributions of diligent officers, stating that the reward system is designed to encourage excellence and boost the morale of personnel across the command.
“This recognition underscores our commitment to supporting and empowering officers who go above and beyond in fulfilling their responsibilities. By rewarding exceptional service, we aim to inspire others within the command to strive for excellence.”
