The Anambra State Police Command is in a mourning mood over the tragic death of one of their personnel, ASP Anthony Ogbodo who was involved in a vehicular accident involving his motorcycle and a shuttle bus on Saturday the 16th September, 2023.

The driver of the shuttle bus took the police officer to the hospital where he finally gave up the ghost. However, he has been arrested and going through interrogation to ascertain the cause of the accident against the insinuations on social media attributing the cause of death of the officer to different reasons.

The Command mourn the death of the officer while the Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye condole with the Ogbodo’s family and assured that the misery of the cause of death will be unraveled and justice will be dispensed speedily, a statement released from DSP Tochukwu Ikenga has said and subsequently sighted by our correspondent.
