Odunlade Adekola is a Nigerian actor, singer, filmmaker, producer, and director born on December 31, 1978, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He hails from Otun Ekiti, Ekiti State, and is the son of Pastor and Deaconess Adekola.
Adekola’s early education took place at St. John’s Primary School and St. Peter’s College in Abeokuta, where he obtained his West African School Certificate Examination. He then proceeded to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, where he received a diploma certificate. In 2018, he earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos.
Adekola began his acting career in 1996, joining the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners and training under the late Nollywood actor and producer Isola Durojaiye. He gained widespread recognition for his lead role in Ishola Durojaiye’s 2003 movie, Asiri Gomina Wa.
