You Have No Legal Rights Against Opay, Palmpay, Moniepoint

Opay is not a Legal Person, Palmpay is not a Legal Person, Moniepoint Is not a Legal Person

You transfer money with Opay, buy airtime with Palmpay, or pay bills with Moniepoint and you probably think these names are the real companies but let me shock you

In the eyes of the law, Opay, Palmpay, and Moniepoint are not legal persons. They are simply brand names; the catchy names used for business and marketing. A brand name cannot sue you, and you cannot sue a brand name. You also cannot enter into a legally enforceable contract with “Opay” “Palmpay” or “Moniepoint” in that bare form.

Think about it this way

If you go to court and sue “Mr. Biggs”, your case will fail. Why? Because Mr. Biggs is just a restaurant brand. The real legal person behind it is UAC Foods Limited.

It’s the same with fintech companies. The proper legal names are:

🥢 Opay Digital Services Limited
🥢 Palmpay Limited
🥢 Moniepoint Microfinance Bank Limited

Only these registered companies are recognized by law as legal persons capable of entering contracts, suing, or being sued.

Why does this matter to you?

Because if you ever have a dispute or contract issue, going to court with “Opay” “Palmpay” or “Moniepoint” alone is like fighting a shadow the case will collapse. The law only knows the registered company, which is Opay Digital Servies Limited, Palmpay Limited, and Moniepoint Microfinance Bank Limited not the street name.

So remember, what you see on the app is a brand. But in court, only the registered company counts.
