SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: POLICE CONFIRMS THE RELEASE OF THE ABDUCTED NDLEA ANAMBRA STATE DIRECTOR
The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the release of Mr. Daniel Onyishi, the state’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Director, on June 22, 2025.
In a statement released by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the State Police Public Relation Officer has confirmed.
According to the report made available to Aiyekooto Reporters, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said , the NDLEA personnel was abducted by gunmen on June 12, 2025, along Winner Road in Awka. The police worked in collaboration with sister agencies, including high-powered covert operatives from the NDLEA led by Zone 12 Commander Mrs. Florence Ezeonye, to rescue him.
