ANAMBRA POLICE TAKES OVER THE SCENE OF A CULT- RELATED SHOOTING AT OKO EVEN AS THE SAD INCIDENT RECORDS THE DEATH OF TWO, ALLEGED ABDUCTION OF TWO OTHERS AND ANOTHER TWO RESCUED PEOPLE INCLUDING A LADY THAT ARE CURRENTLY IN THE HOSPITAL RECEIVING TREATMENT

The Anambra State Police Command through the Area Commander Aguata has responded swiftly on the incident
in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, resulting on the serious ongoing security challenges in the area.

According to the statement issued by the state Police Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, gives vivid account on the alleged cult-related shooting that resulted in:

Two deaths, Unfortunately, two individuals lost their lives in the incident. The penetrators of the hideous crime allegedly made away with the abductions of two persons, . Four wounded, Four persons, including a lady receiving treatment, were wounded in the shooting, he said.

The joint security forces, comprising the police, army, navy, civil defense, and vigilante operatives, have taken over the scene and are working to gather clues,

Operatives are acting on clues from the scene to track down the perpetrators.
According to report , police is gathering first hand information through eyewitnesses account, admonished that ndi Anambra should remain calm.
