A Twitter user simply identified as Opressed (@Truthfully83) has exposed how a woman attempted to scam her husband of over a 100 Million naira but ended up being outsmarted by the husband’s friend.Narrating the ordeal via Twitter, the user said, “A woman wanted to scam her rich husband. He asked his best friend to do whatever he can to get his wife out.“His friend started negotiating with the kidnappers as instructed by the man, and he kept the story away from the police and the public, as also instructed by the man. Because of the man’s status in the society, and also not to endanger his wife’s life.“The story was just within his immediate family members, and his group of big friends. The man’s wife was enjoying rounds of knacks, in a hotel with her sideman, as her phone was constantly switched off, while her kids were left at home with her nanny, ages 11, 9, and 7.“Her husband was dying abroad, as he constantly communicates with his kids, and nanny to know how they are faring.He was also in constant communication with his best friend, who was physically negotiating with the wife’s supposedly abductors. Her phone come on and off.“The negotiations went on for 4 days as they finally settled for 10 million.But the husband’s best friend told the husband 100 million naira as the ransom fee.“The man immediately instructed his company to credit his friend 102 million, for the ransom payment, & other logistics.“His best friend hired a private vehicle, travelled to the state they told him, in company of 2 other men, then took a bike from a spot, & went to a bush location alone to drop the money, as instructed by the kidnappers.“She stayed one more night, even after ransom has been paid.“On the 6th day, she phoned her husband with a passerby number, that she is stranded along the highway, that the kidnappers led her out of the bush blind folded her, and left her stranded. That they took her phone. The husband was so happy to hear her voice.“He asked her to hire any vehicle, from that spot back to their home, even if it is 500 thousand naira, he will pay. He phoned his best friend to inform him about the latest development, and to express his gratitude, for standing by him during the difficult ordeal.“He sent a fresh one million to his friend, for his wife’s transportation back home, and his family upkeep, that he is coming back in 2 days.“She got home safely, destroyed her IPhone 14 along the way, as well as her sim card. No trace, ransom shared judiciously as well as knacks.“When the husband returned, she narrated how the whole thing happened, that she went to the salon, and was picked up by those heartless kidnappers very close to the area.“The husband thanked God for her life and safe return. But deep down in her heart, she is not angry over the ransom payment,“But because her husband was scammed the sum of 90 million naira by his best friend, using her own fake kidnap deal, but she can’t say it. She is now like the biggest looser, getting only 5 million naira out of a 100 million naira kidnap deal. The woman became mad with herself.“She became furious towards her husband’s friend, she now went out to source for real, & true kidnappers, so they can kidnap her husband’s best friend to collect back the 90 million naira hescammed her husband through her fake kidnap deal, as ransom from him.
