Owolabi Ajasa is a Nigerian Nollywood actor who rose to prominence after creating the film Adanwo Olopa, and has continued to produce fascinating films since then. Many people refer to him as a cop because of his distinctive method of presenting his acting roles to the delight of the audience.

The fact that Owolabi Ajasa features as a policeman in most Yoruba movies doesn’t mean he is a policeman. In an interview, he revealed his beardless face earned him the role of a policeman. He said;

” I think it is because I don’t have beards. In those days when we are behind the camera, if there is a policeman role, they will tell the director to allow me to take the police officer role. That was how it started and people started calling me a police officer”.
