The FCID , Police Public Relations Officer ASP Mayegun Aminat has said in a statement released.

According to the police Spokesperson ASP Mayegun Aminat, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), FCID Annex, ordered an investigation by the CP X-Squad. The outcome of police investigation led to apprehending of
Inspector Kalu and a POS agent.

ASP Mayegun stated further that, the officer admitted a report was lodged against the petitioner for allegedly terrorizing the community. The petitioner confessed to identity theft with supporting evidence and was released on bail. The POS agent confessed to giving ₦4 million to the complainant.

The AIG FCID Annex, Lagos, AIG Margaret Ochalla, ensured the full recovery of the ₦4 million, which was returned to the petitioner,
