The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two teenagers in connection to the fire incident that occurred in the Community Primary School, Isheri Olofin, Ogun State. The teenagers, Wahis Musa and Malik Iliasu age between six (6) years and nine (9) years old respectively was apprehended. According to SP Odutola, A community Chief (name withheld) reported the incidence to the police stating inter alia that the two teenagers “gained access to one of the unlocked classrooms at Community Primary School ,Isheri Olofin both then proceeded to gather books left behind by their teachers and pupils and set them ablaze, the value of the damage books are still sketchy and unknown”.
Speaking further, she said the Police has visited the scenes of crime and brought the alleged children for interrogations.
The disturbing incidence is giving the Police serious concerns because of the crime suspects involved, Police has also made inquiries to inform suspects parent and to unravel the mystery if there are other people that is involved or instigated the teenagers.
The Spokeperson for the state, SP Omolola Odutola has stated in the report sighted by our correspondent reporter that the general public will be briefed accordingly as police further investigation on the matter.
