Suspected Cultist “Mate”, Couldn’t “Mate”, In Ogun Police Net

The Ogun State Police Commissioner, CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha Psc, has warned citizens of the state severally that the command under his watch will not condone the act of criminality and other crime related incidence.

CP Alamutu Abiodun took the bull by the horns in ensuring that kidnapping, armed robbery and cult related incidence among others are thoroughly given prompt decoy and drastically ensure that the state personnel’s respond swiftly to such cases .

In response to the aforementioned, the Ogun State Police Command Anti Cultism Unit, received a distressed call regarding suspected cultists in the Adigbe area of Ogun State, Upon receiving the credible information on the 19th December, 2023 at about 1200hrs the police condone off the area . The Police Public Relations Officer of the State, SP Omolola Odutola has said in a statement released to Journalists in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital.

Speaking further, SP Odutola said, while on surveillance operation in this exact location a thirty (30) years old suspected cultist a.k.a “Mate”, Ademuyiwa Sodiq Akanni (original name) was arrested on the black spot.

According to SP Odutola, the Police conducted search on him, a locally made pistol along with a cartridge was found on him and was recovered as exhibit. While other suspected cultists are still on the run. The Anti Cultism Unit has assured that other suspected cultists will soon be apprehended.

Ademuyiwa aka “Mate” couldn’t “Mate” when the Police apprehended him , he is cooperating with the police and have made useful information regarding other Suspected Cultists. He also made confessional statement to the Police that he belong to the dreaded proscribed Cult “Buccaneer Confraternity”, it should be recalled that the other name of this confraternity is “Alora”.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha Psc, has ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID for verbatim investigations, diligent interrogations and ordered the arrest of other members still at large to enable gather enough evidence for subsequent persecution in court, SP Odutola has said in the report privy to Aiyekooto Reporters.
