Let’s indeed pray for Nigeria and its leaders during this sacred Ramadan period. DIG Hashimu Argungu, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, has urged Nigerians to use this time to seek guidance for our leaders and pray for the nation’s survival. He emphasized the importance of self-control, faith, and mindfulness of Allah’s blessings during Ramadan.

Ramadan is not only a time for spiritual growth but also has numerous physical and mental health benefits. Fasting during Ramadan can lead to weight loss, improved insulin sensitivity, lower cholesterol levels, reduced inflammation, and improved brain function.

As Argungu noted, this period teaches valuable lessons, including self-control, faith, and seeking forgiveness. He also called for a renewed commitment to nation-building and prayed for Allah’s mercy, love, and forgiveness.

Let’s take this opportunity to reflect on our values, seek spiritual growth, and pray for a better Nigeria. As Argungu said, “May our prayers for our country and its leaders be answered, and may this fasting period bring us closer to Allah.” The spokesperson for the PSC Ikechukwu Ani has said in the released statement
