PSC Approves Salary Payment Says In The Interest Of National Security

Police Service Commission approves the salary of recruits set of 2021/2022 after six months of waiting. rising from a stakeholders meeting recently with Civil Society Organization, Dr Solomon Arase CFR a former Inspector General of Police has assured that the lingering faceoff between the Commission and the Nigeria Police Force will soon be a thing of the past for the benefits of Nigeria and Nigerians.

The consequence of the aforementioned is the recent approval by the Police Service Commission Chairman Dr Arase directives, that a letter be dispatched on the 5th of May 2023 through the Permanent Secretary and Secretary of the Commission Dr. (Mrs) Ifeoma A. Anyanwutaku to the office of the Accountant General of the Federation where he cited the importance of the payment of the young police constabularies, who has resumes normal police work across all police commands in the country in the past six months. The recruites will now simile to the bank as issues bothering on their salaries are now resolve in the interest of national security.

In a statement released to the press, sighted by Aiyekooto Reporters, the Commission spokesman Ikechukwu Ani has said the, “The Commission’s Chairman Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, former Inspector General of Police, feels a sense of discomfiture over newspaper reports that the Officers had since resorted to alms begging and other untidy acts to sustain themselves and had moved immediately to resolve all pending and envisaged issues surrounding the matter”.

“The Commission requested for “prompt and favourable response in activating and emplacing the necessary processes and procedures at ensuring that these Police Officers are immediately captured on the required payment platform and paid accordingly”. It’s therefore a relief to the 1007 Police Constables to be captured into the Federal
Governments Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System IPPIS .

Dr Solomon Arase CFR, feels the pains of the young constabularies and the Commission in admittance feel they shouldn’t be the victims as service to nation is not only of national interest but national security of which the PSC acted upon and ensure to a more working relationship with the Nigeria Police Force.
