POLICE BURSTS ARMOURY, RECOVERED DANGEROUS WEAPONS, ARREST THREE SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER’S IN DELTA

The Delta State Police Command declaration of war against criminal minded individuals in the State is handsomely paying off. Recently the command rolled out the feats of achievements between the month of July to September.

Though credence is to the working crime strategies of the acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD,,NPM and duplicated by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass Psc who acted swiftly on the order and directives of the Inspector General of Police who in turn briefed men and personnel of the Delta State Police Command .

This security strategic structure has stem activities of this criminally minded individuals to the cleaners.

In accordance to this directives it should be recalled that “about two months ago, the Command arrested some suspected kidnappers, including one Ese–Oghene Ezekiel, who masterminded the kidnap of his brother (Name withheld) and members of his household at Oha community, Okpe LGA during which one Regina Ogana, the brother’s wife was shot dead” .

The Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass, gave directives for intensive investigations to unearthed all those involved in the dastardly acts , sequence on the order and directives , the Divisional Police Officer, Oreorokpe, mobilized and personally led his men to stormed Ofuoma in Ughelli North LGA, where two male suspects namely, James Aboyo ‘m’ aged 21 and Solomon Gbolode ‘m’ were arrested for their involvement in the incident.

The arrest led the team to conduct search on the suspects operational base and hideout, on sighting the police team some of them manage to escape while one Blessing Deco ‘m’ 22 was arrested and dangerous weapons was recovered during the search. A statement released from the Command Spokeperson, DSP Bright Edafe has said.

The Command PPRO, DSP Edafe Speaking further on the incidence, confirm the recovery of the following ,
i. Four (4) AK 47 Rifles
ii. One (1) Pump Action
iii. One (1) locally made single Barrel Cut-to-size Pistol
iv. Fifty-Eight (58) Rounds of 7.62 Live Ammunitions
v. Thirteen (13) Live Cartridges
vi. Five (5) Packs of Improvised Explosive devices
vii. Six (6) Detonators, and
viii. Eight (8) Empty Magazines.

Suspects arrested are assisting police in the interrogations while those on the run will soon be apprehended for there’s no hiding place for crime or criminality in the State, Edafe assured.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass Psc has commended the operatives of the Oreorokpe Division for their gallantry, and admonished other personnel to emulate them, while assuring Deltans that the fight against crime in the State has just begun. The state will be safe from all forms of crime if citizens gives maximum support to the police, the statement released by the Command Spokesperson DSP Edafe as sighted by Aiyekooto Reporters correspondent reporter revealed.
