Police Arrest Suspected Armed Robbers, Cultist, Recovers Weapon In Delta State

The Delta State Police Command has continue to put criminals in the State on the run , either to shun such or relocate from the state as the personnel’s in the State continuously raid black spots , ransack every nook and crannies of the state as the yuletide period draw nearer, the target is to ensure the safety and security of all residents. A statement credited to the Police Public Relation Officer of the state, DSP Bright Edafe was quoted as saying.

Speaking further, DSP Edafe gave vivid analysis of crime crack down in the State in a recent press released, he stated on 12th of November 2023 at about 0500hrs how operatives of Agbor Area Command, acting on credible intelligence stormed and arrested four armed robbery suspects namely ; Ogbolu Peter ‘m’, Justice Nmor ‘m’, Precious Odilu ‘m’, Queen Mba ‘f’, all of Agbor Community, and aged 35, 28, 26, and 27 years respectively. premiliary investigation led to search of their houses and the following dangerous items were recovered, two (2) locally made cut-to-size guns, one AK-47 magazine loaded with five (5) rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, three (3) rounds of 5.56mm live ammunition, two (2) live cartridges, two (2) Vikings secret cult berets, and ten (10) wraps of weed suspected to be Indian Hemp were recovered.

Suspects and exhibits are in custody while investigations continue to arrest other members of the gangs. Edafe has said in the report.

In a similar development, the operatives of Delta State Police Command Crack Squad, acted swiftly on intelligence report about Cult activity at Ogwashi- Uku, Ubulu- Uku road, the strategic Crack Squad cordoned off the premises and arrested one Chigozie John ‘m’ 36years after search was conducted one locally made gun and one live cartridge was recovered. Suspect admitted in statement made to the police as a member of the confraternity called Aro Bagger. However, investigation continue to arrest other members of the confraternity and cult groups members’ in the State.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass Psc hail operatives of the state and success recorded within the period. He advised, that the tenacity should remain high while appealing to members of the public in possession of firearms to approach the nearest Police station to drop their arms as the window is still open for voluntary disarmament of dangerous weapons and ammunitions, while the CP Wale Abass warn youths against cultism or other social vices , for anyone found wanting will be persecuted in accordance to extant laws .
