The Anambra State Police Command has handed over a three months baby found in front of Oraukwu Boys Technical College to the Director of the Welfare Department Idemili North LGA for safe Custody.

The State Police Command Spokeperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga has said in the statement released, that a good Samaritan recovered the baby and brought it to Eziowelle Police Station.

According to him, efforts are still ongoing to locate the parents and relatives to come forth for identification and claims meanwhile, the baby enjoys the custody of Welfare Department Idemili North LGA until claimants come forward presently, there’s no clue Ikenga said in the reports released to Journalists in Akwa , the State capital.

Speaking further, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga has appealed to the consciousness of the ndi Anambra that “anyone who can identify or assist the Police in reuniting the baby with the family is hereby enjoined to come forward in this regard, please” , AR reports.
