POCACOV Strengthens Ties with the Force Education Unit

To Foster Youth Engagement and Social Reorientation in Police Schools

The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) recently paid a visit to the Force Education Unit Headquarters in Dei-Dei, Abuja on August 7, 2025. The National Coordinator, ACP Olabisi Okuwobi, led the team to discussed ways to strengthen collaboration with the Force Education Unit to promote value reorientation, preventive education, and awareness campaigns in police-owned schools,

The NC, ACP Olabisi Okuwobi was accompanied by ASP Joy Isioma Ejime-Irabie, ASP Odoh Fidelis, and CPL Abimbola Diyolu. They were warmly received by ACP Ibidapo Oludare Olubiyi, Director of Education Force Education Unit, alongside ACP Lateef Jaiyeola and CSP Mary J. Lano.

According to the National Coordinator, ACP Olabisi Okuwobi emphasised the need to collaborate in key areas to enable a healthy synergy in quest of attaining it’s nominal role in building an educational environment free from cultism, rape and other perennial social vices.

Key Collaboration Areas

  • Establishment of POCACOV School Clubs:
    in police schools to promote preventive education.
  • Integration of Social Reorientation Content:
    into school activities to shape responsible citizens.
  • Mentorship and Life Skills Training: for students to help them make positive choices.
  • Joint Awareness Campaigns: on issues like cultism, drug abuse, bullying, and cybercrime affecting young people.

Goals and Outcomes

  • The collaboration aims to nurture young minds, foster patriotism, and reduce the appeal of cultism and other negative influences among school-aged children.
  • Both parties exchanged goodwill gifts, symbolizing their commitment to working together.

ACP Okuwobi emphasized the importance of engaging students in structured programs for long-term societal transformation and sustainable crime prevention,
