The CG of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Audi Ahmed inducted a new formation of the commission tagged: Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) in Abuja, the nation’s capital territory, to join other anti corruption agencies in tackling corrupt practices as the nation’s general elections of 2023 draw nearer.
Dr Audi also charged the members of the new formation to be conscious of their roles in tackling corruption as a new direction has been given to them to achieve this.
This was widely witnessed by representatives of other agencies especially the ICPC chairman’s representative Mr Olayinka Aiyegbayo who represented Prof Owasanoye.
The CG of NSCDC also informed the new formation that it’s activities would also be strictly monitored by other security agencies.
Meanwhile Aiyekooto Reporters gathered that the new formation of the agency ACTU is expected to operate the new formations across the country in order to further restore the integrity of the nation and to conduct a free and fair elections in 2023.
