The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police Command, Wale Abass has tailored the officers and men of the command to remain vigilante and always be ahead of criminals in order to make the State free from criminality.

Acting on the order and directives of the state Commissioner, the Divisional Police Officer attached to Ovwian Aladja Division, CSP Aliyu Shaba while on surveillance patrol received a distressed call that a man and wife kidnapped (name withheld)
with their Lexus Jeep registration (number withheld) taken away.

The well articulated and combat ready police officers led by CSP Aliyu Shaba trailed the escaped route of the suspected kidnappers along Warri/Sapele road by Aziza junction on sighting the Police from the Ovwian Aladja Division, the suspected criminals open fire on the Police to pave way for their escape but the officers dragnet ring code has already caught up with them as they engage them and finally subdued the suspects while two of the notorious gangsters was caught on the police dragnet, the other suspects abandoned their victims and Lexus Jeep and took to their heels , the Police are still on trail of the fleeing suspects. On the other hand, victims were rescued unhurt and regain their desirable freedom.

However, items recovered from the suspects are One AK47 rifle with breach number 16869, forty-six rounds of 7.62 live ammunition, one pump action gun, and thirteen live cartridges.

The Commissioner of Police Wale Abass Psc is unhappy with the unabated rate of crimes among youths and has warned parents that they should educate and advise their children against criminal activities. Criminality will not be tolerated in the State, CP Wale Abass assured citizens of the state. While the State Command Spokesman DSP Edafe Bright has said in the statement released that no crime will escape the full arms of the law for such will surely meet a disastrous end, he told Aiyekooto Reporters correspondent reporter.
