The Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwoolu host the new AIG Police Zonal Headquarters, Zone 2 Onikan Lagos, AIG Olatoye Durosinmi yesterday in Government House Alausa , Ikeja Lagos.
The visit which is orchestrated by the Lagos State Security Trust Fund is the first official courtesy call to the Governor of the State by the new Police Boss who reside on the Island , the courtesy call is to boost the working relationship of the State Government and the Police in security matters in the State.
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund Board Member ,Dr Ayo Ogunsan who took the opportunity to introduce the new Police herdsman to the Governor of the State Babajide Sanwoolu said that with the first courtesy visit the indefatigable Police boss who covers Lagos and Ogun States is ready for the business of security in the State. The nexus and synergy to ensure a working relationship with the Zone 2 Onikan Lagos and the Lagos State Government in the area of security and protection of lives and property of the people of Lagos state cannot be overemphasize hence the prompt of the courtesy call to the Governor of the state.
The Host Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu said that, Lagos State Government is notable to give tactics support to the Police , also an enablly environment to thrive as the issue of security is a serious business to the Government of Lagos State and the county as a whole.
The excited Zone 2 Boss, AIG Olatoye Durosinmi said he’s home to his people that he appreciates the official courtesy call to the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwoolu which is necessary to address security challenges under his Zonal Command.
He assure that with the warm embrace he’s challenged to give best security services to the people Lagos State and Ogun State. According to him , “Lagos State security architecture is a familiar terrain and the Command under my watch will be properly secured and protected as statutory demands”, he said.
He thank the host Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu for the briefs and expectations of the people of Lagos State and the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD, NPM for the opportunity to serve the good people of Lagos and Ogun States at this critical period of time in history and pledges to do his best in the circumstance.
It should be recalled that AIG Olatoye Durosinmi took over from AIG Mohammed Ari Ali who’s now in charge of Community Policing in Police Force Headquarters, Abuja.
