KANO STATE POLICE COMMAND ENGAGES YOSPIS IN STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION SESSION AHEAD OF NATIONAL POLICE DAY CELEBRATION
The Kano State Police Command is gearing up for the National Police Day Celebration on April 7, 2025, with a strategic communication session alongside members of Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and other Social Vices (YOSPIS), led by Zainab Nasir Ahmad. This is release in a document to journalists by the Police Command Spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa
According to SP Kiyawa, this meeting aimed to foster public relations, trust, and best practices, ultimately bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community.
While giving insights , the Police Spokesperson Kiyawa said, the session facilitated open dialogue, strengthening ties between the police and civil society organizations. It showcased the Command’s dedication to community policing, public safety, and security. Notably, the Kano State Police Command expressed gratitude for the support and collaboration with YOSPIS, AMG Foundation, and other civil society organizations, acknowledging the importance of collective efforts in maintaining peace and order in the state.
This initiative is part of the Command’s broader efforts to deepen community policing, as emphasized by the Commissioner of Police, Mamman Dauda. The goal is to build trust and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, CSOs, NGOs and members of the public. SP Kiyawa said in the released document.
