The Inspector General of Police Usman Baba Alkali CFR has ordered the promotion of thirty one thousand, four hundred and sixty five (31,465) policemen comprising 24,991 from Sergeants to Inspectors, 194 from Corporal to Sergeant, and 6,280 from Constable to Corporal across the country.
The IGP relied on his strategy on manpower development policy on motivation to deserving police officers base on competence, qualifications and length of service to promote and strengthen the workforce.
The inspector general of Police Usman Baba Alkali CFR in a statement released through the irrepressible Force PPRO CSP Muyiwa Adejobi sighted by Aiyekooto Reporters, charge the newly promoted police officer to used the opportunity to raise the bar of lofty principles of the Nigeria Police Force and add values of modern policing in accordance to the extant laws establishing it.
In a similar development, the IGP Congratulate Assistant Inspector General of Police Aishatu Abubakar mni, and AIG Olofu Tony Adejoh, both senior police officers were conferred with national award while, AIG Aishatu Abubakar bagged Officer Order of the Niger, AIG Olofu Tony Adejoh was conferred with the individual award of National Productivity Order of Merit Award (NPOM) respectively by the National Productivity Centre, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment on the approval of the immediate past President Mohammadu Buhari.
“The Inspector-General of Police charges the Senior Officers to bring their experience gathered over time and the well-deserved national recognition to bear in their national policing duties”, the Police Force Spokesman Adejobi has said in the official statement released.
