Ibom Air flight: Unruly Passenger Will Have A Date In Court

So there’s been a pretty wild incident involving an unruly passenger on an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos on August 10, 2025.

The passenger, Ms. Comfort Emmanson, refused to switch off her phone before takeoff despite crew instructions. Things escalated when she confronted the Purser after landing .

Ms. Emmanson didn’t comply until the Pilot-in-Command intervened and a fellow passenger turned off her phone.
She attacked the Purser, stepping on her, tearing off her wig, removing her glasses, and assaulting her with footwear. She also slapped another crew member who tried to intervene.

Ms. Emmanson tried to forcibly remove a fire extinguisher, which could’ve damaged the aircraft.

Airport security was alerted, and Ms. Emmanson was restrained and removed from the aircraft by force.

Ibom Air has banned Ms. Emmanson from flying with them again. She was handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.

Ibom Air emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for unruly behavior that threatens safety. They commended their crew for handling the situation professionally. It is not unlikely that Ms. Comfort Emmanson will have a date in court after Police investigation, Aiyekooto Reporters can now revealed authoritatively.
