Human Trafficking Syndicate Uncovered Suspects Arrested

The Rivers State Police Command recently uncovered a human trafficking syndicate exploiting vulnerables young mothers and selling their newborn babies for significant financial gains.

The Command Spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko has revealed in an interaction with crime journalists in the state.

According to her, the operation led to the arrest of several suspects, including , the main Suspect Blessing Jack: A 54-year-old female, resident of Timber Road, Igwuruta, Port-Harcourt, and alleged leader of the syndicate. She has a previous conviction for child trafficking, having spent three years in prison in Calabar.

Further investigation revealed other Suspects: Chinonso Raymond: A 30-year-old male of Igwuruta, Port-Harcourt.
Chinyere Okorie: A 32-year-old female of Pipeline, Rumuoholu, Port-Harcourt. Nkechi Nwankwo: A 50-year-old female of Pipeline, Rumuoholu, Port-Harcourt.

The suspects have confessed to the crime, detailing their individual roles in the syndicate. The police are conducting further investigations to dismantle the network and arrest other members.

Speaking further, SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirm that the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, has commended the operatives for their diligence in investigating and apprehending the suspects .

She assured that the apprehended suspects will be arraigned in no distance future while the operatives will not relent to ensure other suspects in relation to this crime. SP Grace Iringe-Koko told Aiyekooto Reporters correspondence reporter.
