Base on the aforementioned , the IGP/IRT Lagos acting on an intelligence gathering has nabbed a trans border robber who specializes on robbing of exotics cars and Jeep’s and delivering same to neighbouring countries. The suspect Ojugbele Suru 50 years of age, a Benin nationale a father of eight children during interrogation confessed to the unit that they are of Five different gangs with areas of speciality. That he’s to receive the “robbery cars from Nigeria and cross the porous route of the borders to deliver to the other gangs in Benin Republic”. He acknowledged that he introduced the robbery cars/Jeep’s to the leader who he identify as “Willy” wbo is still on the run at the time of filing this report. locally made pistols and ammunitions were recovered.The suspect Ojugbele Suru during police interrogation said that most targeted exotics cars are sold by the receiving end outside the country shore. A GLK car was ridiculously sold for eight hundred thousand naira which market value is not less than #7million naira. In another development, Bayo.Owolabi 27 years of age is cooling his heels in the custody of the IGP/IRT cell as he will return to prison. The suspect has earlier spent three years jail term in prison. upon release from prison he resume to criminal activities joining a five man gang terriorising both Lagos and Ogun State respectively. The armed robbery gang carry out major operations around iyana ipaja, Abule Egba, Alakuko, Iyana Crossing, Sango, Ifo Lagos/Abeokuta expressway.During interrogation the suspect confessed that the gang was responsible for the killing of a security guard on duty post at Iyana ipaja. The same gang opened fired on the Nigeria Police at Ijebu Ode where two of the gang members lost their lives. The Police are still trailing on Elijah, Waleko, Tayo a.k.a Enufe, Tolu a.k.a Tooro who are still at large . Locally made pistols, axe and other dangerous weapons was found with the ex-convict. The Zonal Coordinator SP Joel Ugowe confirmed to VOAR Magazine that Bayo Owolabi and his armed robbery gangs will face the law on crime.committed against the State as effort to get the rest of the gang members will soon bring positive results, the Coordinator assured!
