Former Oyo State Police Commissioner, Abiodun Odude Is Dead
Abiodun Odude, a former Commissioner of Police for Oyo State, has passed away after a brief illness at his home in Lekki, Lagos. He died yesterday evening, according to his course mates.
The former Oyo State Police Commissioner, Abiodun Odude joined the NPF in 1986 as a cadet ASP alongside notable Nigerians like Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu and Ibrahim Lamorde.
The deceased served the nation meritoriously spanning about thirty five years during this service years, he served in various Police departments including State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Lagos, CP Administration and Finance at Force Headquarters, EFCC, and Oyo State Police Command before retiring in 2019.
Compol Odude , graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Demography and Statistics.
The Notable cases handled during his tenure as Oyo State Police Commissioner, was a case murder of a 23-year-old LAUTECH student who was arrested for stabbing her boyfriend to death out of jealousy.
Odude led efforts against criminal elements in Oyo State, ensuring relative peace in the largest brown city in Africa.
