The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele fulfilled his bail conditions and was quietly released from Prison Correctional Centre, Kuje-Abuja. A source privy to Aiyekooto Reporters (AR) has said.
According to the prison source, Ex CBN Governor Emefiele was released via a text message said,
“Emefiele was released quietly in Kuje prison at 3pm today after fulfilling his bail conditions secretly.”
The source revealed that, “The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is still looking for him to arrest him,” and that’s “why he was released secretly.”
The reason was base on the aforementioned because government unwillingness to release him hence it was clandestinely orchestrated to wad off publicity from visitors who patronize the facility. This might signify undue government intervention, hence it was a grand conspiracy between prison officials after the bail was perfected.
The source is uncertain on who came to the rescue. But AR can confirm that the embattled CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele is no more in Kuje prison as at 3pm yesterday.
