The Delta State Police Command has arrested one Eseoghene Ezekiel Obeje in Odovie community Ughelli North LGA in the State, for masterminding his own Kidnap and suspected to have murdered brother’s wife. He was caught pant down and is undergoing interrogation.
The State Command Spokeperson DSP Bright Edafe has said in the press released sighted by Aiyekooto Reporters.

Trouble started with Eseoghene Ezekiel Obeje a twenty eight years old (28years old ) when the State Commissioner of Police CP Wale Abass Psc called for verbatim investigations into various criminal activities in the State.

Towards this background, the Command received a distressed call from one (Mr Ogana) the husband of one Regina Ogana “f” who was murdered during a kidnapped incident. Husband of the deceased called that he received a suspicious call from Eseoghene Ezekiel Obeje that he has been kidnapped that the kidnappers are making demand for Five hundred thousand naira (#500,000.00) the money was transferred to the Eseoghene’s account as ransom.

The development prompted the CP Wale Abass Psc to give directives to the Oreropke Police Division to embark on intelligence driven investigation which led to the arrest of the suspect. The DPO, CSP Paul E. Oboware led the Anti-crime patrol team who arrested the suspect on the same spot his elder brother paid ransom for his released and his wife (Regina Ogana) deceased.

“Investigation revealed that the said Eseoghene is a member of Eiye confraternity, he faked his own kidnap and is also suspected to have masterminded the kidnap of his brother and other family members which led to the death of Regina Ogana. The suspect is in custody and investigation is ongoing” the Command Spokeperson has said in the press released.
