The Delta State Command has rescued a man (name withheld) who was kidnapped in front of his house in Sapele, Delta State. The Oghara Police Division responding to the incidence and help of the local vigilante gave a hot chase to the kidnappers in a report released by DSP Bright Edafe the Command Spokeperson has said.
Security is a business of all , the locals credible information assisted the police to spot a white Benz GLK with registration No ABC- 448-HC around Ogharake community which the police acted on the local based intelligence gathering.
The Divisional Police Officer, Oghara mobilize his mem led the Command’s Anti cult unit, local vigilante and Youths in the community to fish out the suspected criminals.
Consequence on this, the suspected kidnappers on sighting the Police abandoned the car and escaped into the bush. The victim was rescued by the Police, information revealed that he was kidnapped in Sapele at the entrance of his apartment on the same date. He has been reunited with his family while police is on the heels of the fleeing suspects.
A search conducted on the said car led to the recovery of twenty (20) rounds of 7.62 AK-47 live ammunition.
The Commissioner of Police Wale Abass Psc commended the proactive response of the personnel’s and intelligence led operations to see that criminals are flushed out in the State.
The CP urged members of the public to assist the Police by providing useful, timely, and credible information that will aid in crime fighting.
