The Delta State Police Command , CP Wale Abass Psc reiterates the commitment to effective policing and strategies to ensure that Delta State is rid of criminals and criminality.

This commitment is paying off with the arrest of suspects that kidnapped Mr & Mrs Okutonye Efetobore on the 27th April,2023. The entire Ughelli town was turned into a shadow of itself as the said criminal gangs placed a million ransome on the couple which led to their released

The Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass Psc gave order and directives that the criminal gang must be brought to book. Acting on intelligence gathering the Delta State Decoy Squad Commander, ASP Julius Robinson and the team swings into action that led to the arrest of Emmanuel James ‘m’ aged 32yrs of Otor-Udu, Ughelli South LGA, who is suspected to be the leader of the gang. This sting Operations led to the arrest of another member of the criminal syndicate Ejiro Peter ‘m’ aged 25 years a native of Kokori in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Both suspect confessed to the crime and other kidnapping, armed robbery operations that they have carried it before their arrest.

However, the Delta State Police Command Spokesman DSP Edafe Bright in a released statement to Journalists reiterated that the CP Wale Abass Psc assurance that criminals and criminality will not be tolerated in the State. That it’s better they relocate outside the State because he’s taking the fight against crime to their doorstep. He assured Deltans of the commitment to better policing.
