The operatives of the Federal Criminal Investigation Department Force Headquarters Annex , Alagbon took the bull by the horn heeding to such stern warning that it’s not going to be business as usual for criminals and those who allow crime to thrive, on 27th November, 2023 at 1700hrs while acting on intelligence report, apprehended one Mr Justine Enuonye , the thirty eight years (38years) Suspect has been on the radar of the FCID operatives for awhile, he’s an integral agent of a notorious transnational drug cartel in Nigeria whose drug network cut across America, Canada among others.
The Spokeperson for FCID Alagbon, ASP Mayegun A Oluwakemi in a statement released said, “He was intercepted and arrested while driving a Tacoma truck with registration number DSR 785 HR loaded with 157 parcels of substances suspected to be Canadian loud. The interception took place at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos” .
Speaking further, during premiliary investigations by the operatives of Federal Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon the suspect confessed that the dangerous narcotic substance was source from their Canadian based Drug Baron.
The suspect confessed on their modus operandi, to the bewildered police detectives that they package the narcotic substance in packs into second hand cars called “Tokunbo” and shipped into Container, find their way into Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) Apapa Lagos, Nigeria. In this instance, “the drugs were shipped into Nigeria in five cartons spread into two Tokunbo vehicles – a Ford Ecoline bus and a Hyundai Elantra and they were concealed alongside motor spare parts which landed in a container at the Ports Authority, Apapa, Lagos”, Justine Enuonye confessional statement remain shocking to the apex Federal agency as the street value is said to worth an estimated one hundred and fifty million naira (#150,000,000).
