ANAMBRA SECURITY: CP ORUTUGU ADVANCES SECURITY ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT FOR POLICE AND OTHER SECURITY AGENCIES IN ANAMBRA STATE
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has paid a courtesy visit to High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi (Ikenga Umuawulu) in Abuja on July 22, 2025. This visit is part of CP Orutugu’s advocacy initiative to foster collaboration between the police, other security agencies, and key stakeholders.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga the Police Public Relations Officer of the state has stated in a report privy to Aiyekooto Reporters.
According to report, CP Orutugu recently received the “Best Crime Fighter – Man of the Year 2025” award from the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Council.
While receiving the Prestigious award, CP Orutugu emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring a peaceful and secure environment. He called for increased synergy between traditional leaders, community stakeholders, and the police in intelligence gathering, public awareness, and logistics support.
Responding to CP Orutugu, High Chief Ndubuisi commended him for his proactive leadership and pledged continued moral and material support for the police and other security agencies.
The Anambra State Police Command remains committed to building strong community-based partnerships as part of its proactive policing strategy.
The police command encourages citizens to continue supporting security agencies through timely information and positive engagement. SP Ikenga has stated in the reports.
