The Police Service Commission under the leadership of Dr Solomon Arase has approved the appointment of Mr Oladimeji Olarewaju as the Commissioner of Police for Ogun State Command.
COMPOL Oladimeji Olarewaju before the new appointment was the Commissioner of Police in charge of Anti-fraud, FCID Annex Alagbon, Lagos. A position he held on and perform creditably well.
The new Ogun Police Commissioner, born on the 25th of May,1964 hails from Mushin in Lagos State and holds B.A. History/Political Science, LL.B., BL.
He joined the Police Force on 3rd of March 1990 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP.
He became the first officer to exploit the fiat given by the Attorney-General of the Federation to prosecute the case of arrested terrorists at the state High Court and secure conviction when he was Deputy Commissioner of Police in Borno State.
He is trailing on a familiar security turf having been at a time the DPO Mowe and Ilaro-Yewa as well as acted as the Area Commander in Ilaro Ogun State.
The new Commissioner Oladimeji Olanrewaju is married and loves playing Squash and reading novels in his leisure time.
He’s expected to adhere to the police strategies in combating crime and preventions in the State.
