The Anambra State Police Command , CP Aderemi Adeoye on behalf of the Ag IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD, NPM decorated two hundred and eighty eight promoted police officers to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police 1 across the state

In a statement released by the State Command Spokeperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga sighted by Aiyekooto Reporters, two hundred and eighty eight promoted police officers were decorated in the Command.

Base upon the recommendation by the Ag. Inspector General of Police Olukayode Egbetokun and sequel to the approval of the Police Service Commission led by the Chairman, Dr Solomon Arase CFR , the Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye congratulated the police officers and admonished them to reciprocate the gesture with dedication to duty, protecting the citizenry and securing the state.

The height of the symbolic decoration is that, the Commissioner of Police is the thirty third (33rd) Commissioner of Police since the creation of Anambra State and decorating the two hundred and eighty eight police officers of same rank in a swoop, symbolically his thirty third (33rd) day in office as the Commissioner of Police in the State incidentally, the first historic decoration in Akwa , Anambra State.

The Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye thank the Inspector General of Police Ag. IGP Olukayode Egbetokun PhD, NPM for making welfare of Police Officers top in his agenda and appreciate the Police Service Commission, Chairman Dr Solomon Arase CFR in the new rejig towards it’s sequel approval to the effect in ensuring effective Nigeria Police Force.

On his part , the CP assured Ndi Anambra that the Command under his watch will continue to protect and secure the state with integrity, the State Commissioner of Police has said in the statement released by the Command Spokeperson.
