Ademola Lookman African Player of the Year Atalanta
There was a celebratory atmosphere ahead of Atalanta’s match with Empoli, as Ademola Lookman showed off his African Player of the Year award and Gian Piero Gasperini was named Serie A Coach of the Month.
It kicks off at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo at 17.00 GMT.

La Dea are currently on a club record run of 10 consecutive victories and hope to make it 11 this evening, which would maintain the top of the table ahead of Napoli and Inter.
A sign of how well they are doing was evident during the warm-up, because Lookman was able to show off the African Player of the Year trophy that he received this week, largely thanks to the Nigeria international’s hat-trick in the Europa League Final against Bayer Leverkusen.

Gasperini also posed with his award as Serie A Coach of the Month for his remarkable results in Bergamo.
As always, the Bergamo boys were wearing special edition jerseys for the final game before Christmas, which will then be auctioned off to raise funds for a local children’s hospital.
