Ipaja area of Lagos State was thrown into pandemonium this morning as hoodlum popularly called area boys numbering over hundred attacked the Ipaja Police Station.

According to source, the area boys were armed with guns and various dangerous weapons while exchanging gunshots with the police. As at press time , casualties may not be far fetched but remain unconfirmed.

Eye witnesses account revealed the severe nature of the pandemonium and panic envelope the once calm environment.

The Lagos State Police Command, Commissioner of Police, CP Fayoade Adegoke mni has redeployed the Command’s operative to the area with the Divisional Police Officer CSP Lekan Olugbenga who was seen dishing out directives to his men to put the situation under control .
