Anambra Police Nab Two Robbers On Second Niger Bridge

The Anambra State Police Command has testify serious efforts to rid the state of criminals and criminal activities. In discharge of official duties personnel of the state adhere to various initiatives in fight against crime as disseminated to various police formations in the State through the operational activities muted by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye .

The instructions paying off according to statement released by the Police Spokeperson of the state, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga sighted by Aiyekooto Reporters. In the report two robbers were arrested whose mode of operandi is to dispossessed unsuspecting citizens of their valuables on the second Niger Bridge. Police on surveillance patrol were alerted on the activities and subsequently, The Covert Police Team monitored the suspects activities, swoop on them and apprehended two of them while others are on the run. The Police Spokeperson of the state DSP Tochukwu Ikenga has said in the statement released.

Speaking further to journalists in Akwa the state capital, Ikenga said, ” When searched, two daggers and five sim cards removed from previously stolen phones were recovered from the suspects aged between 20 and 22 years”. “One of the suspect hailed from Enugu and the other from Ebonyi State”.

The Commissioner of Police Aderemi Adeoye, appreciated the officers and personnel of the Command to continue to do more in the fight against crime , while he directed that rightful owners of the recovered sims will be located and persecution of the suspects arrested will be arraigned as soon as all evidences are ready. He appealed to ndi Anambra to continue to assist the Police in smoking out criminals in their hideouts, Ikenga re-emphasized in the report
