ANAMBRA POLICE INTERCEPTS ARMED SUSPECTS IN OBOSI, RECOVERS TWO PISTOLS

As CP Adeoye charges Operatives to sustain the tempo of the fight against criminal elements.

The Anambra State Police Command has demonstrated another milestones. Though in their usual element in ensuring that criminals are not only fished out but dealt with accordingly.

CP Aderemi Adeoye in adherence to the Ag. IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD,NPM directives which continue to gladden the Lious Edet House, Abuja. He has continually exhibit the reason why he’s the antidote to make Anambra State peaceful.

On arrival the Operational CP gave directives to the Police formations in the State, the Sectional Heads, the Area Commanders , Divisional Head and other Squadron Units to ensure that this directives are strictly followed , this is the beneficial consequence that criminals are now aware that it’s not business as usual in the State.

On 20/7/2023, Police personnel in Obosi while on surveillance received intelligence gathering at about 1130hrs, swung into action and the Police Operatives intercepted a 3-man criminal gang riding in a tricycle around Littlewood Estate.

On sighting the Police the suspected criminal gang exchange gunfire with the Police but met their waterloo because of the superior firepower of the combat ready Policemen. They were immediately neutralized while two sustain various degree of injury.

The Police were able to recover two Berreta Pistols and two rounds of ammunition from the arrested suspects, while police is still in hot chase on the fleeing member of the gang.

The arrested suspects are Amaechi Precious ‘M’ aged 25 years from
Obosi and Almazer Avalumo ‘M’ aged 25 years from Adikpo in Benue State.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police CP Aderemi Adeoye has charged Police Officers to sustain the fight against criminal elements wherever they may be lurking.

He has also warn that stamping out criminals is a mission possible with total collaborations of the immediate local. A community base collaboration is a working possiblity to make Anambra State a safe haven.

The State Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Tochi Ikenga in a press released and monitored by Aiyekooto Reporters has said. He therefore released useful information to members of the public to call the Command Control Room number 07039194332 or 112 for any security-related information they may wish to pass to the Police.

The State Command PPRO, DSP Tochi Ikenga, has assured that the CP Aderemi Adeoye resilience on sister agencies and interstate collaboration is still in force and the arrested suspects will be charged to court immediately after interrogation. the statement read.
