Police Go After Gang Leader, Others

JOINT SECURITY TEAM BURSTS A NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL GANG OF THREE, ARRESTS TWO OF THE ARMED SUSPECTS AND DECLARES THE OTHER POPULARLY KNOWN AS AKADA WANTED OVER ARMED ROBBERY, ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM AND ENFORCEMENT OF ILLEGAL SIT-AT-HOME

Operatives of the Joint Patrol Team of the Anambra State Police Command and Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) bursted a notorious criminal gang who has been terrorizing the Nkwelle Ezunaka, 3-3 Area of the State. While Akada the head of the criminal gang took to his heels , the other two members of the gang has been taken into Police custody.

The Spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga has said in a report privy to ARs Correspondent.

The notorious gang leader Akada and his gangs has been under Police most wanted list for armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms, illegal declaration of forceful Sit-At-Home.

Recovered at the scene of crime by the operatives is an English made Barrette Pistol and other dangerous weapons.

The arrested suspects, Chinedu Amah and Prince Nwogu all males and residents in Nkwelle – Ezunaka. Luck ran against them when at gunpoint they dispossessed their victim of iPhone and valuable items. The Victim raised an alarm and the operatives gave an hot chased after them. They were apprehended while Akada is still at large.

The suspects confessed to the crime and confirm Akada as the leader of the armed robbery gang.

According to the Police, efforts are on to arrest other members of the gang.
