ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST SEVEN SUSPECTS ON CULTISM AND ARMED ROBBERY, RECOVER A CUT-SIZE DOUBLE-BARREL GUN, ONE TRICYCLE, OTHERS

As Operatives are on the man-hunt for Makuo Nwuso a k a Baby and one other

The Anambra State Police Command, Acting Commissioner of Police, DCP Fidelis Ogarabe PSC MNIPS has charged the Anambra State Police Operatives to sustain the tempo in the fight against crime in the state. This is coming immediately after the retirement of CP Aderemi Adeoye as the state Commissioner of Police.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fidelis Ogarabe who is in charge of Finance and Admin, the most senior Police officer in the Command, he reassured police Personnel’s of total commitments and urge them to continue to fight crime in the State, According to him, there’s no room for laxity, lacuna or ineptitude.

A statement released by the Spokeperson of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, has said , “Police attached to Special Anti-Cult Squad SPACS while on patrol at Unizik Junction intercepted all males and five occupants including the driver of a tricycle. In a bid to question the occupants, they fled but one of them Chukwuemeka Ozoekwe was arrested.

The suspects are, “Chukwuemka Ozoekwe age 18 years old, Chidozie Anagor aged 18 years, Chukwuemeka Oyeoka aged 18 years, Ebuka Okoye 17 years, Olisa Obi 19 years, Chidubem Nwakwu 20 years and Nwankwo Kosisochukwu all males. While Makuo Nwosu ‘m’ a k a Baby and one other person whose name is yet to be identified are wanted”.

According to the Command PPRO SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspects in custody has confessed to be cultists, and responsible for terrorizing the environment. They also confessed that they are on a mission to rob people of their personal belongings such as phones, laptops, bags before the Special Anti-Cult Squad SPACS struck and arrested them.

Items recovered from them are cut-size double barrel gun, one tricycle without a reg number, and some hard drugs.

The Acting Commissioner of Police, DCP Fidelis Ogarabe has assured ndi Anambra of the Command readiness to ensure penetrators of crimes in the State are persecuted while those arrested will be charged to court after thorough investigation has been concluded. SP Ikenga has said in the document sighted by our correspondent reporter.
