Nigeria’s first Olympic Gold medalist, Chioma Ajunwa, MON has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP by the Police Service Commission, PSC in the Nigerian Police Force.
Chioma Ajunwa who is decorated by AIG Frank Mbah in charge of FCID Alagbon Annex Lagos was assisted by CP Rotimi Adelesi.
Until her recent appointment, Chioma Ajunwa was an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP and with her recent promotion, she is on her way to being promoted to a Commissioner of Police soon.
Chioma Ajunwa is a Nigerian former track and field athlete, footballer and notable when she drew global attention for becoming the first Nigerian to win gold at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta USA, and the first black African woman to win an Olympic Gold Medal in a field event.
