Police is your friend sound theoretical but it came into practice in queer circumstances
The Anambra State Police Command, Akwa swift reaction has safe a life of a citizen who wants to end it all after being indebted to his creditors.
According to the Spokeperson for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, One Mr Alozie John a twenty seven years old man who hailed from Isielu LGA Ebonyi State but lives in Umunnachi, Dunukofia LGA, in Anambra State.
According to the Police, “A WhatsApp message was intercepted when he engaged the Command on a chat that he drank a poisonous substance hoping for death because of indebtedness of One million, two hundred thousand Naira (#1,200,000) to his supplier of livestock products”.
“He further confessed that he deals with selling live Chicken and after he took the harmful chemical did not feel otherwise’.
The Command immediately swung into action debrief him of his suicide attempts, gave him immediate medical attention, while placing him under close monitoring.
As at the time of this report the family has been contacted to ensure he is stable. The nother is currently assisting the Police with evaluation, references and transfer to a better facility for proper and other necessary care.
A similar incidence happened sometimes ago , when Aiyekooto Reporters reported a man who committed suicide opposite LAWMA office early Monday morning in Ikorodu area of Lagos State. The cause of the dastard suicide is said to be lingering on monetary issues.
The Anambra State Police Command has warned citizens to desist against taking drastic action in taking life’s that cannot be replaced. It is against humanity and God, the PPRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga has said.
