Nigerian Army Pull Out 18 Generals After 35 Years Of Meritorious Service To The Nation
The Nigerian Army bid farewell to 18 senior officers of the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) after 35 years of dedicated service.
According to report privy to Aiyekooto Reporters, the officers, comprising four Major Generals and 14 Brigadier Generals, were honored in a colorful pulling-out parade in Benin City, marking the end of a three-day conference themed “Optimizing Supply and Transport Capabilities Towards Providing Effective Service Delivery to NA Operations in All Missions”.
The Corps Commander, Maj.-Gen. Danjuma Shagaya, praised the officers’ dedication and commitment to the Nigerian Army, saying, “As we transition into retirement, our commitment to the ideals and values of the Nigerian Army remains steadfast.”
Maj.-Gen. Olaniyi Dare, speaking for the retirees, highlighted the Corps of Supply and Transport’s crucial role in the Army’s operational effectiveness .
The ceremony was a celebration of the officers’ years of service, sacrifice, and commitment to national defense, with current and former Corps Commanders in attendance. The Chief of Army Staff was also represented at the event.
