The Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has approved the appointment of Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Lateef as the new Principal Staff Officer. DCP Lateef brings a wealth of experience and leadership skills to the position, having served in various capacities within the Nigeria Police Force, including as Police Operations and FPU Coordinator for the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia.
Additionally, the IGP has deployed CP Johnson Adenola as the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, and CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa as the new CP Enugu State. These strategic deployments aim to strengthen the leadership capacity of the Force and ensure effective policing across the country. The Police Force Spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has said in a document released privy to Aiyekooto Reporters.
